Hammett, PA (August 11, 2016):

The Zimmer’s Service Center United E-Mod Series will hold a $2000.00 to win series event this week, the biggest race of the season. David Scott has dominated the weekly Eriez Victory Lane this summer, winning six of the eleven features run.  Past UEMS champion Joel Watson, is a multiple time former track champion, has three wins, those all in succession starting in late June. Bruce Powell won his first Eriez feature last week and will be charged up for another win as well as young David Pangrazio, who got his first-ever win on June 19. All will likely be in contention as well as UEMS regulars including young stars Jacob Eucker and Josh Ferry and 2016 points leader Rich Michael Jr, who is also a past Eriez champion.  Scott won the season opening UEMS event at Mercer, while Michael swept the Zuver Twins Memorial events at McKean County in May.  Other UEMS notables are Mike Potosky, past series champion, Carl McKinney, Dan Davies and others are expected for the 30 lap event.  Entry Fee for UEMS is $20.

The World of Outlaws Late Model Series comes to Eriez Speedway this Sunday for their annual visit. Past winners include Josh “Kid Rocket” Richards and Darrell Lanigan. Local stars hope to defeat the WoO regulars this year with last year’s highest local finisher, Max Blair, leading the charge. Rob Blair, this year’s points leader and a former track champion, will also be in contention for the win. The Blair’s have won 9 of the eleven Plyler Overhead Door Super Late Model features held this summer. Only Greg Oakes ( May 22) and Dave Hess Jr (June 12) have interrupted their romps in Victory Lane. Both Oakes and Hess could wind up defeating the Outlaws. Never count out 2016 champion Darrell Bossard as he is always near the front and could break through for a win on any given week.

This week will have a special for Squirts paying $25 to win, Blue Clones will race for $50 to win and Senior 350 Clones will race specials for $50 to win PLUS the regular track payoffs.
