The Zimmer Service Center ULMS Late Models will roll into Eriez Speedway as it ends its 57th season with the “Bob Rohrer Memorial September Sweep”. The popular track-owner and promoter began the tradition of the season-capping event in 2014 and the tradition continues in his memory. Unfortunately, Bob passed from this life on July 2 of this year. All classes will honor his memory with special events, featuring increased prize money with the winner’s purse for each feature ending in “11”, Bob’s number throughout his career. Both nights will be sanctioned by the Zimmer’s Service Center United Late Model Series. Dave Hess Jr is the current points leader in the series over Greg Oakes and Max Blair, all Eriez Speedway regulars. Hess, with three series wins, currently enjoys a 35-point edge over Oakes. Third running Max Blair has two wins as does sixth-running Jared Miley. Brady Wonderling, Alex Ferree, Boom Briggs and Russ King also have wins this season.

All six of Erie classes will run special events with two complete shows for the Zimmers Service Center ULMS Super Late Models. With $4011 on the line for Friday’s “Dick Litz Memorial”, rain delayed from its originally scheduled June date, and $6011 on Saturday, a single driver ‘sweeping’ both events could reap $10,022 for the weekend! Last year Dave Hess Jr won the Friday night portion with Jared Miley picking up the Saturday night win. Hess Jr picked up the opening night win this season, then went on to capture another win on June 25th and the season points title at Eriez.

ULMS Late Model teams are reminded that yellow Westhold Transponder systems are mandatory. Rentals will be available at the track for $15. Entry Fee for both nights will be $30.

Eriez Speedway is located on Sampson Road, just off Lake Pleasant Road in the town of Hammett, PA, 3 miles south of Interstate 90. Take Route 8 South from Interstate 90 Exit 29 and follow the signs starting in Hammett.
